Termination Request

Upon termination of an employee, the following procedure applies:

  1. HR must submit termination request via SURS Service Desk.
  2. IT will ensure employee returns building key(s) and any SURS computer equipment loaned to employee.  Special Filing contains records of all equipment on loan.
  3. All user accounts will be disabled immediately upon receiving Service Desk request.  Accounts will not be deleted or workstation erased until organization is sure they have access to all data needed, including but not limited to, such items as emails, files stored on workstation, voice mails.
  4. Service Desk will complete Termination Task List and notify HR when all tasks have been completed.
